Whose shoes would you choose? … Jimmy Choo’s?

Those of you who study in the British Council will surely have seen the posters and the flyers for the Education UK fair, which took place last Sunday, the 19th of October. This is an annual event which attracts 100s of visitors who are interested in studying in the UK. The event takes place in the Sky Building in Umeda and there are usually around 60 university and other educational establishments in attendance.

This year’s event was also an opportunity to hear a talk by Jimmy Choo, and to see an exhibition of some of his shoes. Professor Choo learned his trade at one of London’s finest art schools and was here to talk about his experience of the UK.

FM Kokoro radio show with DJ Mojo interviewing Tom Mayes – British Council Osaka, Education Promotion officer

Just prior to the event, Tom travelled to Nanko to give an interview to promote the Education UK exhibition. In the interview, he talks about himself, the event, Jimmy Choo and the British Council.

As you listen, think about what you learn about each of the following questions

1. What does Tom say about himself?

2. What does he say about the EdUK exhibition?

3. What information does Tom give about the British Council in general?

4. Do you learn anything new about Jimmy Choo?

I will try and produce the script as soon as possible. 🙂
